The IsDB Tadamon Crowdfunding Academy Program receives funding from the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD), under the stewardship of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB). This initiative is carried out in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and various strategic collaborators.

Our program is on a mission to shine a spotlight on projects and endeavors, offering assistance in exploring alternative financial avenues and establishing connections with potential partners and supporters. At the heart of our efforts is the Tadamon Crowdfunding Academy, an intensive 8-week training program specially designed to empower Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in harnessing crowdfunding as a means to raise essential funds for their initiatives.

To date, we have successfully equipped over 500 organizations with the essential skills needed for crowdfunding and have proudly awarded them their Tadamon Crowdfunding Academy completion certificates. Join us as one of our next participants on this exciting journey!

Our primary goal is to empower Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) by providing them with the expertise needed to champion environmental protection and combat climate change. We aim to enhance the visibility of their projects, craft compelling narratives that highlight their unique challenges, and secure essential funding by engaging with donors and supporters.

The Tadamon Crowdfunding Academy is a comprehensive e-learning and digital classroom program that we conduct in collaboration with the Kaya platform, a renowned global learning platform under the Humanitarian Leadership Academy. Selected organizations will have the opportunity to develop their crowdfunding campaigns with the guidance of experienced mentors, all while utilizing cutting-edge e-learning tools.


Type of CSOs: Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), social enterprise, developmental startup, religious institution, cooperative or farmers’ group, community-based organization, foundation, savings clubs, civil society network, and credit unions.

Country Registration: You are enrolled and preparing to execute your project solution in one of the 32 member nations of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). These countries include:

Algeria, Azerbaijan, Benin, Brunei Darussalam, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chad, Comoros, Djibouti, Guinea, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Libya, Maldives, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Somalia, State of Palestine, Sudan, Togo, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, and Yemen are the countries where you plan to implement your project. Please have your valid registration documents ready when applying.

Tadamon Membership: You are already a member of the Tadamon platform. (If you’re not a member yet, don’t worry! You can easily sign up now, and it’s free). Please note that CSOs will undergo screening through the UNDP security platform and/or other due diligence processes.

Language: The training program will be conducted in English, with the possibility of mentorship in Arabic, French, and Turkish.

Innovation and Relevance: Your project proposal should clearly demonstrate innovation and relevance in one or more of the thematic areas:

  • Renewable energy
  • Reduce, reuse, and recycling
  • Ecosystem and biodiversity protection
  • Sustainable agriculture and food systems
  • Sustainable resource management
  • Climate change
  • Air pollution reduction
  • Environmental education

  • Participation of two or three team members in all online and offline trainings

  • Launching their crowdfunding campaigns within 7 months after the start of the training program

Method of Application

To submit a project idea for the Tadamon Crowdfunding Academy, your organization must first register and create a profile on the Tadamon Platform. Within your organization’s profile or account, you will discover an application form specifically designed for the Academy. You can proceed to submit your project idea or proposal by the deadline of October 23, 2023.
