Established in 1876, Texas A&M University was Texas’ inaugural public institution of higher education. Situated in the heart of the Houston-Dallas-Austin triangle, and within a two-hour drive from 26 million of the state’s 28 million residents, our main campus in College Station accommodates over 69,000 students.
In order to qualify for the Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Undergraduate or Graduate student
- Full-time enrollment – 12 hours (undergraduate) / 9 hours (graduate)
- Financial need

To compete for scholarship funds, you must satisfy the distinct criteria associated with each scholarship. Meeting the eligibility criteria for a scholarship does not guarantee selection for funding. It’s important to be aware that scholarships designated for international students do not automatically grant non-resident tuition waivers.
Method of Application
Students have the opportunity to apply for scholarships using the University Scholarship Application. For scholarships in the Summer and Fall terms, the application period runs from October 15 to February 1. For Spring scholarships, the application period is from September 10 to October 12. It’s important for students to diligently complete all sections of the application as per the provided instructions. Additionally, completing the essay section is essential as it is a prerequisite for most scholarships.
The International Student Financial Aid Application (ISFAA) serves as the application for need-based financial aid programs, including the International Texas Public Education Grant (ITPEG) and the Mexican Citizens with Financial Need Waiver. It’s worth noting that many scholarship programs require applicants to have a completed application in order to be considered for eligibility.
